Summer Holidays

Hi Everyone, 

 This summer will be diferent, because  I will have finished an important part of my  career at University. This year has been hard, so this summer I just wnat to relax and enjoy and to gather energy for the last year. I can't believe how fast time has gone by.

My plan is work in wherever job and make money and in January go to a vacation spot with my boyfriend. I would like to go to the south of chile and visit some lakes. i think that among so much nature is the perfect place to disconnect. But it is not always cheap. 

On the other hand I would like to go to the beach. I have always liked the sea and spending a few days at the beach. There are always camping options. 

I love camping, it's something I've been doing since I was a kid. It is also an option to look for places to camp that are not so far from Santiago. 

If I can't travel this summer, it doesn't matter, because there are always places to go with friends and family. The important thing is to have a good time no matter where.  

I also hope to have time left over to visit art exhibitions. Lately I haven't been able to go to many because my schedule doesn't allow it. It would be great to be able to do full tours of galleries and museums. 

My Favorite Food

 Hello everyone, 

This morning I will write to you about my favorite food. 

My favorite food is noodles with tomato sauce or pesto sauce. I like noodles because remind of when my mom used to cook them for me when I was a little. 

I really like this recipe because very easy to make. First we have to boil water and cook the noodles for about 10 minutes. While the noodles are cooking we can make the sauce. 

Personally I like the tomato sauce with: chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, grated carrot and chopped Italian pumpkin. All of the above is sautéed in a pan for 6-7 minutes and seasoned. Then put a lot of chopped tomato and leave it on the fire for 5-7 minutes more. Personally I don't like to put tomato sauce in the mixture, I like it much more natural. Sometimes I combine it with soy meat, since I am a vegetarian. 

For the pesto sauce, it is even easier: I grind basil leaves, olive oil, seasonings and sometimes I combine it with tofu and sesame seeds. 

Being a vegetarian, it is not recommended to eat noodles very often, so I include vegetables and proteins in the sauces to make it a little more balanced. 

GRADUATE STUDIES.

Hi everyone again:

When I finish college I don't plan to continue studying, at least not right away. My plans are to dedicate myself to my work and to be able to travel. I want to dedicate some time for myself and disconnect from the university model. 

However, if I were to go back to school to specialize my studies, I would like to be able to take a course related to Media Arts and Technology. It is a subject that I am very interested in lately and I would like to develop it further. Among my interests is the idea of generating installations with devices and integrating videos. For now I am in an experimental stage and it would be interesting to study it and learn more deeply about it.

I am not interested in working abroad, so I would like to take the course locally and in person. I would like to work locally and maybe do samples abroad, but at the moment I am not interested in living abroad.

 

My Future Job

Hi everyone

I´m an art student In the future I would like to work on my own paintings and create a space where I can exhibit and invite other artists to participe. Maybe I will create a collective for to applying to Fond-art. 

I would like to have a free schedule, to be my own boss. On the other hand I would love to have a bigger art studio at home and work from there. 

If possible, it would be great to be able to travel to exhibitions abroad. With the creation of a collective that would be much easier. 

I don't think much about money. Obviously I hope to be able to live and support myself, but I'm not interested in being rich. I just want to be able to carry out ideas and let others see them. 

My Career.

  Hi again everyone, 

When I was a child I wanted to be a singer and always sung and put on a costume, like a rock star. Furthermore, i loved making drawings and painting with watercolors. I had a big collections of colored pencils. So in the time i found my interest and in the moment of applying to university I decided to study Arts. I just applied to this career and to only one university. I bet on luck, but  finally I entered in that career of Plastic arts in university of Chile. 

I decided to study arts because I wanted to learn about art techniques and improve my own art. I like to  paint so much, but I wanted to learn about other specialties, like sculpture, engraving or goldsmithing. 

My experience at university so far has been spectacular and creative, but in some times it can be exhausting because some works take too much time. But, however it has been a nice experience and I  don't regret about my decision. 

In the future I would like to work on my own paintings and create a space where I can exhibit it and invite other artists to participe. Maybe I will create a collective for to  applying to Fond-art. 

  

Best Movie

 Hi everyone, 

When I think about movies, my favorite gender is science fiction or psychological drama. So if you ask me for what is the best movie for me, I thik is Matrix. 

This movie is a trilogy, but I think the firts is the best, and over time, the saga it has become a benchmark in science fiction. It was directed by Wachowski sisters and the principal caracters are, Neo (Keanu Reeves), Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) and the Oracle (Gloria Foster).

This movie has a lot of special effects, but without a doubt, the best and iconic one is Neo dodges all the bullets. But my favorite is when Neo "wake up" of the matrix, this scene is wonderfull. In the other hand, I think this movie is fantastic not just for the effects or the esthetics, but because of its script, it´s what really grabs you inside the plot. I have two favorite dialogues, firts, Mopheus´speech to Neo about the red and blue pills, and second, when Neo met the Oracle and sees a child bending a spoon an he says "Don´t try to bend  the spoon, that is impossible. Instead only try to realize the truth, there is no spoon" 

Constantly the movie tray to catch you between the action and reach the "truth". Makes you think about the our world, our concience and the tecnologies we are created. Matrix is not just a movie with incredibles special effects, but also reflects on philosophical problems, such as Plato´s cave myth or Cartesian philosophy, an world real or fictionary.  

My Best Holidays

 Hi everyone: 

I really like to travel to south of Chile. My father´s family is from there, and for a long time we travel to go visited them and go out to visit beautifull places where the nature is impressive. 

For thiferent reasons I stopped traveling often to the south. But during the summer of 2020, I had the opportunity to travel again and go to Curanué, Quellón and its surroundings. 

I went with my boyfriend and we planned a two week trip. It was amazing. We enjoyed the nature and the tranquility of the area. We walked almost the entire lake and discovered small hidden waterfalls. 

We also enjoyed the typical food and tasted a local beer called "La condená". 10/10 poit.  

The last days of our trip we went to Cocauque, an area of Mapuche resistance. We met and shared with wonderful people while we were there. I was also able to see a cow with her calf and how she taught it to swim, it was very funny and surprising! It was an unforgettable trip.  

When we were returning to Santiago they declared quarantine and officially started the pandemic in Chile,
